Axel Wilke – The Common Good – Independent

I want to create a Canterbury where water is safe to drink and swim in and we have a low emission environment with improved transport choices – including rail.

I believe that with so many increasing environmental pressures, it’s time for moving beyond self-interest, to taking decisive action for the ‘common good’. This ultimately means prioritising a healthy and viable future for our kids and grandkids above all else.

As a qualified transport specialist with long-standing involvement in community issues, I bring my extensive experience as a leader in innovation, problem solving and bringing parties together to work out solutions. My understanding of the political process across local, regional and national levels will enable me to act effectively in creating urgently needed change.

ECan has never had a transport specialist on council, and I would love your vote to deliver in not only the transport space, but for our environment.
