And I am well chuffed that @wilkeaxel and I have been confirmed as the 'A' team! 🤩🤩 ....equally stoked to be the only candidate across ECan, CCC and Community Board that scored a straight 'A' 😌 ...I can't tell you at this point in time how nice it is to be recognised for putting in the hard yards in the climate space. That big bin is not an incinerator, a magic box or a time machine that makes the detritus of our consumer society vanish into thin air...." We need to consume less, and start demanding both regulation in this space, and action from the companies which churn out the lowest cost packaging materials. #thereisnoaway #calloutplastic

Vote to have your say in the local elections. ☑️☑️ Voter participation is too low, and much lower than three years ago. So much of our life is determined by your local representatives. In many areas, local politics is more important than decisions in Wellington. Do yourselves a favour and vote this weekend. Have your voting forms in the mail by Tuesday at the latest to be sure that it gets to the electoral officer by next Saturday. Late forms, or those sitting on top of the fridge, won't count. 😕 When I’ve been out talking to voters, I constantly hear that people struggle most with the District Health Board elections. Whilst you can just leave your voting paper blank if you don’t want to participate in a particular part, my guess is that it stops people from voting at all. https://thecommongood.kiwi/low-voter-turnout-so-far/
